Over the past three years, regular maintenance and refurbishment work has been done at the Autódromo de Terramar in order to preserve the entirety of the site. Those activities have included completely clearing the terrain, both inside the oval as well as on the track itself, which has certain sections that can quickly become inaccessible if upkeep is not performed.
Along the same lines, the collapsed sections of the race track have been filled in. And to guarantee the sanitary safety of the site, the asbestos-contaminated slabs of the chicken coops and grandstand, in place since the 1960s when the Autódromo housed a poultry-farming operation, have been removed.
The grandstand was also repaired and weather-proofed in 2018 in order to restore some of its original appearance.
